1 This article is unbalanced: it doesn’t acknowledge that @churchofengland.org clergy opposing equality for women in ministry have not followed the 2014 Declaration terms (e.g. parish consultations, reviews, vocation referrals), which were agreed in good faith.

So the agreement is already history.

I would caution that attempts to predict how the appointment of the ABC are rarely correct, and the changes to the system this time make it even less predictable than it was. But Bishop Guli would be a very good choice, I think.

Did you know? There’s just one province of the #AnglicanCommunion where the women priests are - formally, institutionally -
less than equal to male priests.
It’s the @churchofengland.org. 95% of women & men there don’t agree with this. So there’s a move now to bring an end to the discrimination.
