Currently reading this! I’m also feeling very late to this party - really enjoying it!
Would love publishers to put more money into marketing lesser-known fabulous authors so there’s less pressure on librarians/booksellers promoting books children won’t have seen in supermarkets.
Also please make all books standard size so we can cover the books easily! 🙏
Last term was so full on so I’m enjoying taking things a little more slowly now it’s the Easter Holidays. Had myself a little ‘booknic’ to make the most of the sun! ☀️

I think most schools aren’t aware of how much authors earn - some people definitely think you’re all millionaires 😂
Author/illustrator visits are so valuable and really do have an impact. As an example - your books are still some of our most borrowed after your visit last year!
But I also see the amount of work that goes into them and know that’s not all schools are able to afford + promote as much as we’d like!
