I kind of see the coffee as a form of psychological manipulation as well as a test. I don't think there's anything harmful in it, but through it, the Metatron can appear harmless with a seemingly friendly gesture, while at the same time testing if Aziraphale trusts him enough to accept & drink it.

Maybe Metatron threatening Crowley was the final push Aziraphale needed to throw caution to the wind and take them down.

And the more I think about it, the more I see the latter as the option I'd like best. Aziraphale deserves to get his revenge so much and he deserves the chance to actually make things better.

...and it would fit the pattern of Crowley always coming to Aziraphale's rescue as well as possibly explain the loss of time, but you're right: It's not necessary & there is a LOT to be said for Aziraphale being the badass we know he is & actually getting the ball rolling on stopping Heaven's plans.

I think Metatron might have to spell out the threat a bit for the sake of clarification and driving home the point of exactly how scared Aziraphale is, given how many viewers didn't even consider the possibility.

When is Red Nose day this year?

Every time I go to a show, especially a place like Emerald City where the fans were INCREDIBLY kind and welcoming, I'm reminded that online behaviors and real life behaviors are two different things and I need to stay offline and meet people face to face more often.

Maybe I'm overthinking it. I'd be happy for anyone with a better grasp on that theory to chime in.

...a body switch would have required both communication and mutual consent. I mean, time would have been stopped but with how upset they both were, would they have managed a whole telepathic conversation and come to an agreement during the kiss in however much time was missing on that clock? 🤔

Have to say, though, that, the more I think about it, the more I am unsure about a body switch. Bc sure, Crowley could have stopped time before storming back in to kiss Aziraphale. A body switch could have happened during the kiss, but as much as I know Crowley also wants to protect Aziraphale...

...if Aziraphale didn't come along. So it is clear to me that Aziraphale is anxious to protect Crowley and therefore sees no other option than to go, but the conversation also has him so spooked that he needs Crowley with him so he can adequately protect him & make sure he'll be alright.

I think it might be necessary to take into consideration what happened before those 15 minutes (I don't like calling them "final") bc Aziraphale first gave Metatron a clear NO & then we cut directly to him entering the bookshop. I 100% would bet money that Metabitch made a threat on Crowley's life
