“It’s his birthday & the newspapers say:‘Everyone gets to have cookies.’ ”
“Great news” I respond.
Child “That’s what he wanted!!!”
Joy.
A mentor of mine had a wonderful saying: Children are washable.
She used it as a reminder to parents about the value of wet and messy play and all the wonderful sensory experiences associated.
