this is, all else being equal, easily the funniest thing the director of inside out could have said

Saw this, and it's 1000% true
Tim's was bought out years back. Not even a Canadian company anymore. And they changed everything on the menu!! You can't even get breakfast after lunch anymore, it was LITERALLY A BREAKFAST SHOP!
they tried to make it into a shitty sandwich/pizza place no joke
Tweet: @HACKTPLANET_ "One criticism of iron lung that I don't understand is ppl saying 'it wouldve been better if Mark wasn't such a narcissist that he cast himself.' Have you seen the stunts he did in that film? He's getting thrashed around, he has to go to the hospital bc blood got in his eyes"
Back in film school I acted in another guy's short and he wanted me to fall down some concrete steps
I did it three times and he told me it didn't look good enough. Told him to do it himself if he wants a better take. I ain't hurting myself for your movie!
I'd say Mark thought about this. W move
i don't actually think saying users are coercing the software is a good way of putting it. the software cannot be wheedled. it does not have consent to violate. it is a computer program

This story about Microsoft banning the word "microslop" from their official discord is mainly confusing me because
Huh, there's an official Microsoft discord?
I figured they'd be hosting that sort of thing on something they ran themselves. Microsoft Comic Chat or something
Part of the recently released dotnet 11 preview 1 notes specifically mention ongoing work to bring coreclr to wasm. Here are the release notes for the runtime changes if you're interested:

I am once again fantasizing about respectable employment doing something that benefits society in a tangible way
I printed it and stuck self-adhesive copper tape to it. There's copper tape with conductive adhesive so you can add multiple overlapping pieces and it counts as one conductive surface. Then I used the second part of the mold to shape the copper, so that it sticks inside the recessed traces. Then I used sandpaper to file away at the raised ridges. The copper traces are now electrically independent of each other. Done! But if I want, I can remove the extra copper tape.
The companion mold at the bottom. This second 3D-printed part pushes the copper tape down into the recessed trace channels so it conforms to the shape. The two parts sandwich together with alignment spikes to keep everything registered.
screenshot of QZW Labs' raised pcb idea! here is their youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLliKgzKKUI&t=592s
Adobe Illustrator on top (you can use any free tool that makes SVG vector files. I just own an old illustrator version. Bottom: the PCB Forge tool I made
I made a tool that turns PCB designs into 3D-printable molds. you sandwich copper tape between the parts, sand the ridges, and you have a real working PCB. no etching, no chemicals. I am losing my mind

cbc just loves to give credibility to this guy’s self-aggrandizing delusions, regardless of whether that means they’re misinforming their audience
i'm sure this won't lead to more market consolidation by the same giant multinationals causing the shortage
The *best version* of the Epstein scandal is that a wide swathe of American elites was palling around with a known child predator and explicit eugenicist for years on end — and is now closing ranks to downplay the severity of his crimes and their own complicity.
a genius with his thinking cap on declaring "haha is my PS2 laser dirty? what is this crap", dismissively pointing his thumb at the soundtracks to drakengard and evergrace, which conveniently have an arrow pointing to them labeled "(literal coolest music ever)"

unbelievably grim to see Valve announce a delightful and exciting compact Linux box approximately 15 seconds before RAM became the more expensive material in the known universe.
I simply don’t believe this stuff. Not only do I feel the gains are exaggerated, but they state smaller provinces (especially Atlantics) will benefit most, when it seems clear they’re most likely to lose talent and industries to bigger provinces like Ontario if the trade barriers come down.
hey everybody lifelong tech expert here
> "system crash” deleted nearly two weeks of surveillance footage from inside the facility
that's not how anything works they're lying and destroying evidence hope that helps
shoutout to libs for immediately inventing "taking the bait" as the new casus belli against protestors and first amendment rights
great work, guys, you're really phenomenal at staying on message for why civil liberties must be crushed, even when you only invented the rationale 24 hours ago
really love thinking about how ICE is not only a recent creation and serves no purpose but also every presidency in my lifetime is far more restrictive and punitive on immigration than reagan, of all fucking people, was
This is simply not technically possible. You cannot generate enough writing in-house to train an LLM. You cannot generate enough art in-house to train a GAN. People who think they have a model "trained on our own material" are using a base model of mass-scraped data, unknowingly or disingenuously.
polymetallic nodules are amazing. there is a fascinating geological process which makes spheres of manganese and iron (and other compounds) on the ocean floor.

it's grotesque to consider extraction given it occurs very slowly in incredibly vulnerable environments.
every day I wake up wondering if the bubble is going to pop today
it's called the rtx 5090 because that's how much it costs
MTG is an irredeemable monstrous shitheel and this fluff piece is gross, but my read of her exit from politics is still "genuine believer in QAnon child abuse conspiracies learned the call was coming from inside the house and instead of changing targets she simply decided to run away"
Now that I’ve had a couple of pints I can say that podcasting was made what it is by weird freaks and ugly people (myself included), it was when hot people wanted to podcast that video came into play
listen to @bloodwork.show
This whole fucking country is rotten to the core. What do you even say about this? They all need to go
maybe the most FunkoPop Reich thing i’ve ever seen
I’m pissed that we’re all going to have a shitty 10-15 years economically because a dozen techboys believed that it was possible to write code to the point that the program could write better code and eventually either kill us all or make us immortal, and so they spent $1.5tn for $41bn in revenue
just a casual reminder that this guy has put out 3 games in the last 17 years and one of those 3 games was just an enhanced edition of the 1st
