This was a painting which had no soul and then got scrubbed out and then became the ghost of something it was meant to be.

I looked out at 6am and there was dark grey cloud cover with patchy gaps which were back lit. Then suddenly the rain started!
A sudden short lived shower of rain!
That was unexpected and very welcome in the SW corner of Suffolk.
Iβm almost packed and ready for setting up my stall in the Art Arcade at the FolkEast festival 15-17 August at the Sotterley Estate, nr Beccles, Suffolk

Very little rain in the SW corner of Suffolk. A fairly long light shower this afternoon but the soil is hardly wetted.

Well done Milly!
Our hen Nutmeg was the same, hadnβt laid for years then suddenly laid a few more. She lived to be 14.
Now identified as Dittander, Lepidium latifolium
The leaves are more leathery than sorrel, on a FB group someone has suggested Dittander which is what google lens said. Iβll find out more but itβs probably correct.
Could someone please identify this wild plant. Growing in damp ground in W Suffolk. Leaves are leathery and smooth, looks like it spreads by roots
Spring Equinox
.
Today was a perfect warm and sunny spring day for a small van adventure to NT Ickworth, walking, looking and painting.
And just hanging out in the van.
Happened at 1.30pm here, I was outside picking chives!
Good morning from the wet and cold SW corner of Suffolk. Very much winter weather again here x
Iβve just finished the audiobook of The Gustav Sonata. A story spanning 50+ years of love, lust, truth, loneliness and honesty. Rose Tremain always creates complex flawed unforgettable characters and these will stay with me for a long time.
π€ indeed!
Oh blimey, and itβs the weekend too.
Many moons ago in my little flat, I woke to find my hallway was like a sauna β¦ steam puffing out if the water boiler and a centimetre of condensed water on the floor! The thermostat had stuck on max π±
A beautiful clear sunny day for a camper van lunch. We attempted to park at NT Wimpole but it was crazy busy! So we went to RSPB Ouse Washes at Earith, peaceful and great views over the reed beds.
Latest make - pj bottoms
Iβd been searching for 100% cotton fabric, then I recalled a tip, look for bed linen.
I found a βnewβ habitat single duvet cover on ebay, it cost Β£14 for enough fabric for two pairs of pj bottoms (though I may dye the pale green so it doesnβt look like scrubs)
A sunny walk at Lynford Arboretum this morning followed by lunch at The Guiness Arms on the way home.
So many roe deer on the fen fields now, on our walk on Monday we saw at least 20
