The stupid wooden post wasn't wearing hi-viz, no wonder the poor car hit it.
Seriously, how do you do that much damage driving at 20mph? The answer of course, is you don't. Pink Pedalway, the Avenues.
Reported.

Weโll be discussing what a mayoral authority means for Norfolk and Suffolk, and what should we be asking of the new mayor?
The mayoral elections may be delayed but this gives us more time to prepare, and with the local elections now *back* on, getting our message across is more important than ever.

If you're cycling down the Avenues don't be dazzled by the newly painted white lines. The potholes are still there. Yes I have reported them, but I think they already know.
Seriously, there are a few more lurking, so do be careful.
A mandatory cycle lane with wands alongside a busy road.
The wand-protected mandatory cycle lane on Pound Lane has FINALLY gone in, some eight months after work started.
Itโs the Chinese Year of the Fire Horse, associated with โbold, decisive actionโ.
Peter Silburn was on BBC Radio Norfolk talking about the Heartsease roundabout and how itโs a definite improvement - but bold action is needed by NCC to make Norwich a truly cycling city!

Man to stand trial over Norfolk crash which killed cyclist A jury has been sworn in to try the case of a man accused over a Norfolk crash in which a cyclist was killed. Six men and six women have been sworn in ahead of the trial of Lukasz Chochowski who has denied causing death by careless driving. It comes after Dominique Hechanova, 39, died in Watton when he was walking with his bike across the B1108 Brandon Road after being hit by a Peugeot 3008 driven by Chochowski.
2023 was a bad year for cyclists being killed on Norfolk's roads. Seven people lost their lives, three in Norwich.
The driver who killed Dominique Hechanova in Watton on the 1st March is now to stand trial.

An overhead view of the Norwich Cycling Campaign stall in a large busy atrium.
We'll be at the Norwich Science Festival this Sunday. Come along and say hello!
10:30am-4:00pm (quiet hour 9:30-10:30am) in the Explorium on Millenium Plain.
A street with mandatory cycle lanes on either side. To the right is a new wand with no base. to the left is one of the original wands with a wide black base.
After years of lobbying, the damaged wands on the Earlham Road cycle lanes have finally been replaced. The wands are a new design without the wide black base, something we have been pressing for, so weโre pleased to see this.
Better places simply cannot be delivered without LTNs. The are key to network planning and their use unlocks so much.
Apart from some notable exceptions, much of the UK simply has not critically reviewed its network function which means we are tinkering with a broken system.
Longwater โ a timeline of incoherence
The convoluted development of cycle routes at Longwater involved Norfolk County Council seeking advice, ignoring that advice, putting effort into an ill-thought-through scheme instead...

4 year's ago today, the Highway Code changed. Did you even hear about it?
The changes aimed to improve safety, but too many people still donโt know the rules. Weโre urging the government to invest in an awareness campaign that actually reaches people.
