In my province, I earn a little over $1200 dollars on disability support. Minimum wage per month pulls in $3050 as of 2025. We don't even make half of minimum wage on disability.

Then once we have a problem at the doctor's that we cannot afford, they will tell us to consider MAID.

Disabled people are being told that because they cannot afford to live to seek out medical assistance in dying, also known as MAID.

Essentially, eugenics.

I also want to add that no party as a whole on any municipal, provincial, or federal level have the disabled community's back. There are some people in the Green Party that have spoken up about it, but other than that, no party actually cares.

They want us dead since we contribute nothing of value.

The federal government tried to push out a "Federal Disability Benefit" which only raises your income up by $200 dollars monthly. In most places, that is a spit in the face.

I am trying to bring up the fact they are only PARTIALLY correct. Canada is flawed, but separation isn't the answer.

I understand there are people calling for separation, and I understand that separation only serves the US. Those people are fucking lunatics and are traitors to the country.

However, at present, no provinces, as far as I am aware, provides adequate support for disabled people. That needs to change.

That's why you fix them.

If you had a problem with your family's cooking as an example, you wouldn't just say "I'm leaving to find a new family who cooks better", you communicate what is wrong, and you work to make a better meal the next time.

I'm simply pointing out that Canada is flawed because I live here, and I wish things were better for people like me who are disabled who are constantly told that medically assisted death is a good solution to my problems simply because I'm in an abusive situation and I cannot leave.

Do you also realize that change was never made by giving up and leaving, right? No. You stay and you fight. You fight for the rights that you want. Because all leaving does is present a host of different problems. Because all countries are flawed in different ways. All countries need to be better.

Disabled people can't leave. To be able to live in any country, you have to prove that you're able to work, because the only way any country allows anyone in is if you can provide income and net growth for their country. Disabled people who can't work, cannot. Therefore, we cannot leave.

I will agree that Canada is massively flawed, but breaking it up isn't going to make the problems easier. All it's going to do is make it more susceptible to coerced annexation.

Canada treats disabled people like absolute shit. They don't provide enough finances, and then coerce them to use MAID.

"No Politics" or "Apolitical" typically translates very smoothly to "I have people who like at least a little bit of fascism in my audience, and I care more about their money than the people whose lives their dogma threatens."

Speaking up against fascists is like the bare minimum, but they won't.

Personally, I've been seeing the term "apolitical" as a red flag for vtubers. While it makes sense that people who aren't knowledgeable on politics don't want to discuss politics, it does exclude people's identities that are considered "political."
