I hate how online comment-culture has changed in the last 20 years. Imo, likes and reposts aren't enough. TELL people you like their work. That goes for AO3 too. A Kudos is nice, a heart is nice, but a comment is GOLD! Be part of the change! Comment on everything! Positivity breeds more positivity!
I'm not really a huge fan of social media. I never really got to grips with Twitter or Insta over the years. And I still get really nervous on Discord so I stick to smaller servers and just speak to my friends in DMs. That said, it's a catch 22 because I love interacting with others!!
I finally feel comfy enough here to come out of my shell and start posting here more as my authentic self. I've had some really positive interactions on BlueSky recently and that has given me the confidence to change my profile to reflect "me".
