It was a pretty big book. I haven't been able to find it anywhere searching typical means. These are the only things I have to go on, along with remembering The Goose Girl story being drawn in a more 1960s-ish Betty-and-Veronica-esque art style.

You’d have to stick a pencil into the little holes and turn it if the tape had come out and you had to reel it back in. Sometimes cassettes or their players would malfunction like this and pull a bunch of tape out and that was how you fixed it.
You could also rewind/ff without a player like this
