Y'know something that strikes me as interesting? How the tech bros of silicon valley have been funding their own opposition since the beginning, and nobody's ever actually called them out on it. Doesn't it strike you as odd that #NoAI takes pretty much all Big Tech talking points at face value?

and if there is say a heat wave with thick smoke and a power out, i'm absolutely screwed anyway. we need to know public spaces that use at least merv 13 filters in hvac systems where people can go for clean(er) air

since i follow this stuff regularly i was able to get an aham approved hepa filter for my place before the fire smoke got here, but most people were completely unawares, as the media didn't do it's job and give adequate warning

we have stretches of the atmosphere with extremely high aqi running for thousands of km, and the fires have only begun

i get the feeling it just hasn't clicked with most people yet how large in scale and how dangerous the climate disaster unfolding across central/eastern north america is right now
