I think a decent political litmus test is
"a person builds a machine that can generate infinite free food for no material cost and teleports it anywhere on earth
Should everyone get free food forever or should the person who built the machine be allowed to hoard/sell it"
This new video generation AI model trying to recreate animation and kung fu and shit just reminds me of this

There's also all these random quippy NPCs who follow u and handhold you through all the navigation so you never feel like you're charting out the world yourself and you never feel isolated
Imo if you take that out you lose what makes the games unqiue, and what it has instead doesn't make up for it
Like in Prime 1 there are [X] areas, and they all have connections to each other inside each area, so you do a lot of weaving and doubling back through the world map to get around
In Prime 4 each area is a self contained linear level that each only connect to a big empty desert in the middle
Yea so the biggest unique strength of Prime 1 (and Metroid in general) is immersing you in isolating alien environments where you chart out the labryinthine planet like an explorer
And Prime 4 is structurally more just like a generic action game with Prime's moment-to-moment gameplay stamped on top

Pretty decent action, likeable characters, great art style, pretty by-the-books shลnen story narratively
They kinda fumbled the pathos in the last 10 minutes, not sure what that was about lmao

Pleasant surprise! The 1st season definitely felt like Disney forced them to make a sitcom before they were allowed to make the show they really wanted with Seasons 2+3, but the cast is great and it wound up being really fun and sprawling!

Fantastic, worth the 44 hours. I love almost every decision this game makes except for hiding important progression behind secret breakable walls that can be almost impossible to spot even when you're actively looking + bilewater runback 9.5/10
I guess you could argue the bad things this might cause were just gonna happen anyway though so maybe I'm just too naive
I keep hearing all this talk about how impossibly difficult Silksong is and I feel like I'm playing a different game or something? most boss fights are taking me 5-6 tries on the higher end

Yeah I'd guess that's probably the main thing, because for instance little 3D "comics" I've seen, that are designed to emulate animation stills with caption-style text on the bottom, don't feel uncanny in the same way
