It’s been awhile since I’ve shared something here, but I’m glad this space exists. here’s how I spent part of the last day of 2023!
I have never had a class before or selected a textbook so I have been doing a lot of info gathering. I’m looking for something current, with good diverse concepts and interesting diverse examples.
I have a library related question. I’m teaching a LIS 1000 course in the Spring. The textbook that’s available is from 2015. Does anyone have any good ‘Intro to Media Literacy’ textbook recs? Preferably that can be purchased as an Accessible (unlimited user) E-Text & physical?

if someone says "I keep experiencing this microaggression and it makes me want to not participate" the correct response is "thank you for trusting me enough to share that, I'll try to do better and also work to get others to do better" not "you need to speak up and educate us"
