Today was the last day of my research stay @cedemografia.bsky.social. I had the great opportunity to work with Iñaki Permanyer and Jordi Guma together on a comparative study on #dementia-related morbidity trajectories of #Catalans and #Germans. Excited to share insights in the coming year.

We found that there is no increased risk of PD for any type of colonoscopy after controlling for death and covariates.
This is work highlights once again that mortality in older adults and confounding by indication need to be taken into account when assessing the risk of disease.
