Police transparency has huge support on both sides of the aisle. It’s a simple right to know what our govt employees are up to and what liability they may be causing us. Folks like
@wakeupnj.bsky.social, please let Jack know this isn’t what the base wants. They want him to restore OPRA! 3/3

Ending use of force reporting for anything that doesn’t involve a firearm is insane and dangerous. We’ve had this data for 25+ years! It’s weeded out problem cops & disparities

Even worse, if police don't fill out the report, no supervisor even reviews the force. LIABILITY! 2/3

Today is the deadline for law enforcement agencies to post their major discipline reports. In a few months the AG will compile them--but for now look at local pages. They're called "Appendix L" reports or "Major Discipline" reports.
