If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support You can put your iOS device in recovery mode, then restore it using your computer.

If you manually update iOS from a computer, it’ll clean like ~10 GB from the OS files usually. You put your phone in recovery mode (follow these steps support.apple.com/en-us/118106) and choose Update, not restore.
