I too wish you were wrong, but from what I see of the few MAGA people in my circles, you're spot on. Their selfishness, more than their gullibility, is what made them MAGA in the first place. That is not going to change, it will simply push them in a new anti-Trump direction. The GOP will stay.
This is just the perfect encapsulation of the GOP's place in the world: A violent waste of time, made to made to sell worthless entertainment to vacant eyeballs.

Even without a terror event, the GOP will allow martial law and ICE agents at poll stations. The SAVE act is just the beginning. Voter suppression will prevent mail in ballots, lines in Dem areas will be many hours long. Trump will stop at nothing to stay in power and out of jail.
