Today, January 27th, I led the Assembly in observing International Holocaust Remembrance Day to remember the six million Jews who were murdered, and to confront what remembrance truly demands of us now.

That responsibility demands that we must speak out. We must teach. We must remember. #NeverAgain

This #MaternalHealthAwarenessDay, I’m proud to support the CBWCHC with another round of state funding, building on the success of its initial pilot serving expectant/new moms and caregivers.

This funding makes possible breastfeeding education, prenatal resources, & family-friendly activities.

I had the honor of recognizing Dr. David Marmor, Principal of Francis Lewis High School, as he prepares to retire after more than 25 years of dedicated service.

I recently announced $25,000 in new funding for Tomchei Shabbos of Queens to support their kosher meal delivery program that provides meals to families and older adults in need.

With this state grant, meals will be delivered directly, ensuring access to nutritious, kosher food throughout the year.

I was honored to join SCO Family of Services for its first “Community, Commitment, Change” forum in Briarwood.

For 130 years, SCO has been strengthening New York families, and it was inspiring to see their mission and plans in action.
