Today my 15yo made dinner, did his own laundry, and cleaned the toilet. My 12yo cleaned his mess and wanted me to watch Avatar because he knew I would love how spiritual the Na'vi are.
Happy International Women's Day.

Literally everything the Heritage Foundation suggests is nauseating
βThe stateβs proposed βtrigger laws,β β¦are direct challenges to Plyler v. Doe, a narrowly decided 1982 Supreme Court case that enshrined the right to a free Kβ12 public education regardless of immigration status.β

It's so fascinating!
My childhood home went on the market one day after the home from my teen years (to present) went on the market. My grandparents are in the midst of living arrangement decisions. Same KS town. What in the cosmic timing is this. π³
prince wearing a turban resigned himself to death, and I saw the arial view of the building & neighborhood. I woke up devastated, but I didn't know about Iran until I opened the news. Later I had a dream about my kid. It's like experiencing the hard thing twice. Fingers crossed for good dreams!
Right! So many already carrying the burden. And I should say heavy on the "little" psychic. The trouble is that I don't always know what the dream is about until the thing happens. Like, a week ago I had a dream about a white stone rectangular building being set on fire, causing mass chaos, and a
lol I suppose I donβt talk about it much publicly but the world is in chaos so what the heck π
The world may be on fire, but at least my precognition is developing, and Iβm dreaming about the bad things before they happen π« π©π
Mayor Mamdani and a child play with Legos while looking very serious and concentrated. The child is impossibly adorable and wearing tiny blue glasses.
No interruptions, please. Weβre building universal child care.
Well, gas is expensive, and food is expensive, and weβre doing a war nobody wants, but at least there are no jobs
It's easy to think of Boomer men as the guardians of "tradition." Yet surveys show GenZ men have more "traditional" ideas about gender roles. 59% of GenZ men, for ex, say men are expected to do too much to support gender equality, compared to 45% of Boomer men.

The U.S. war on Iran is now estimated to cost $1 billion per day. Meanwhile Americans are told thereβs no money for healthcare, hospitals, or basic social programs.
Aside from our day jobs, my partner and I recently launched a small art print shop called Motley. It started out as an antique booth, morphed into an online store, and will soon be in every home worldwide. Probably.

Wow congratulations!
I do actually think there is a serious imbalance on this app. A lot of politics and not enough culture. Some of that has to do with the fact that Black Twitter mostly went to Threads.
The idea of bombing children as a form of βself-defenseβ is nonsensical and grotesque, but nonetheless itβs the argument the U.S. and Israel have been relying on for years and years. It shouldnβt be hard to take a stance against slaughtering children
I am so tired of fragile little men starting wars. I am so tired of fragile little men making policy decisions that harm us all. I am so tired of fragile little men doing horrendous harm to children and expecting us all to forget about it. I am so tired of fragile little men with their tantrums.
Can we deport ICE? Citizens seem to be fair game and Iβm a firm believer of treat people the way you want to be treated. They showed us how they want to be treated, I think itβs only fair we oblige.
The whole βfalse allegations ruin livesβ narrative has always upset me so much because it is sexual violence that ruins far more lives, but people care far more about the 2 to 5 percent of false accusations than we do about the 1 in 4 women and the 1 in 6 children who experience sexual violence.
This is what a rigged economy looks like.
Medicare for All would save $450B a year.
Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.
Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.
Itβs not about what this country can or canβt afford.
Itβs about priorities.

Every single time a story like this is reported, we must assume that there are many many more that do not.
Not me muttering βsurveillance stateβ at parent teacher conferences when learning about how often the Infinite Campus app notifies parents.
β¦ and then what???
What happens to all the detainees of each background once theyβve beenβ¦ sorted according to βperceivedβ immigration status?*
Mind you, the first 1/2 of the story @chrislhayes.bsky.social is quote skeeting is horrific enough, even before they sorted anyone.
