missed my window to get whatever $3 Facebook was offering us as a settlement because it went to my spam box because "Hey free pre-paid debit card by clicking here" is pretty highly associated with scammy nonsense!
still should do this podcast, imho
but I'm also remembering the last time you and I were talking about berries (because bananas are technically berries!!!) and we had just assumed Lord Cavendish sucked but it turned out that his politics were actually pretty good for, you know, British aristocracy
"Let me nuance that..." is a phrase heard often in theology classrooms and I think the overall attitude has seeped into me
yeah, I just typed "our pal Knott" but today's "the shitty people are at it again" vibe I had a moment of "wait maybe he's not our pal" and wanted to qualify
ANYWAY: berries are tasty
it's a cross-breed of some other kinds of berries and it was the work of our pal Knott*
(* Knott might have been an asshole; I'm not researching that right now)
I remember when I first lived in LA someone told me Knotts invented the boysenberry and I thought that was ridiculous and then I found out it was true and I was like "that IS worthy of a festival"
on LMNO I did a whole presentation about how that game builds companionship.
the "9 games" meme with: Sly 2: Band of Thieves Rez Marathon Planetfall Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Super Mario World Final Fantasy VI SimCity 2000 Thief: The Dark Project
I don't think this at all explains the games I ended up making but it does explain which games I am most likely to get sucked into / bounce off of.

Trump admin remains undefeated at knocking out columns to find out if they were load-bearing
It's oddly reassuring to see war with Iran going exactly like how everyone has said it would for the last several decades
hope the editor who had Asimov interview Alf got a promotion
No, Hoob, sheโs first among bests. Pay attention, now.
I mean, this is a trick question; they're all the best character, but Princess is the best of the characters, if that makes sense
Borut they're out here using flip phones
Princess doing her best to seduce the radiologist using only her eyes and powers of imaginative conjuration saying "I'm good at things, too."
who is the best character on THE PITT and why is it Princess?
News agency develops staff and skills to publish natively in almost 30 languages but no way to stop Metaโs autotranslate from doing a shoddy attempt.
I see this too with friends who post multiple languages at once; reading the autoslop alongside their intentional translation is bizarre.
Did you know you can shrug and say "No can do boss" when a court orders you to do something
Instagram comment from the late Michelle Trachtenberg to Sarah Michelle Gellar: Thank you @sarahmgellar for saying this. I am brave enough now as a 35 year old woman....To repost this. Because. This must. Be known. As a teenager. With his not appropriate behavior....very. Not. Appropriate. So now. People know. What Joss. Did. The last. Comment I will make on this. Was. There was a rule. Saying. He's not allowed in a room alone with Michelle again.
Wasn't allowed to be in a room alone with her *again*. The "again" was the most chilling part of that.

Quick question does anyone know how to restore virtue to a decaying society
I like Slay the Spire but I am terrible at Slay the Spire, thus I am excited for the multiplayer in Slay the Spire 2 so someone can play with me and help me get better at Slay the Spire

Ah, but what if THIS war is actually the righteous one that history books will cast me as the fool if I don't support?
Odds are slim, plus people are dying right now and they don't care about your legacy so maybe just try and stop the bombs from falling if you're in a position to do that?
What's amazing is that in the 80+ years since WW2, simply opposing every war, knowing nothing else about it, has shown it will become the correct, accepted position over time. It's the political stance equivalent of investing in the S&P 500: safe, a little boring maybe, but outlasts all others.
I think many would say that sense is the beginning of theology
(Bonhoeffer was executed in 1945 for allegedly being part of a plot to assassinate Hitler, just in case you were curious how his particular story ended.)
In the early years of Nazi Germany, theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer cautioned against the rise of "cheap grace" which preaches the consolations of forgiveness without the work of leading a better life. Grace without the cross. Conversion as a one-time clearing of a ledger instead of a new path.
oh no don't make James Talarico cleverly defend his theology in public what a disaster
