The overall takeway from the WBD news is that enshittification sucks and we should have working antitrust laws. Say whatever you want about Netflix. IDGAF. Disney shouldn't own Hulu, Comcast shouldn't own NBC and Universal. Warner should never have owned HBO. MS shouldn't own Activision-Blizzard.

With the added dread of tipping the overall news media landscape overwhelmingly in favor of Trump. Like, even conservatives should hate the existence of another Fox the same way I would hate MSNBC. Which is why people wanted Netflix. I mean, I hate Netflix, buuuuut...

But WBD controls cable and streaming channels/programs, so it's different. This is like Comcast buying NBC, but in reverse.

Legacy broadcast channels (ABC, NBC, CBS) and PBS are still free with a digital receiver. They usually post episodes on their respective web sites, which is actually better than posting on YouTube (because if everyone just posts to YT, YT has no competitors and feels less inclined to restrict ads).

I don't understand why it was on by default and not displayed as such. Thankfully it's back in the UI now. I guess if I ever see it disappear, I know to check my policies. Between this and Microsoft obviously planning to push AI into Xbox, I worry for the future.
