It depends on what one classes as AI. We’ve been using Machine Learning algorithms for decades and no one is complaining, in fact I’d complain more about how bad Microsoft’s implementation is in Outlook than get annoyed that it’s there.

There are many posts stating that one cannot compare the USA to 1920’s & 30’s Germany but there are just too many similarities. There’re differences like the depression caused by reparations, the Wall Street crash & hyperinflation which the US has not had, but fascism is fascism in all its guises.

A tip for anyone with a pet that is reactive & stressed by fireworks is to stay in a hotel at an airport that accepts pets on & around New Year’s Eve. Apparently the Hilton at Schiphol airport is completely full then & it’s not for a party.
