I messed up while painting today, instead of using the Ancient Honey speed paint (right) I used Zealot Yellow (left) this left a reddish shade on the Vulture, rather than start over I am going to roll with it.

I introduced a buddy of mine to Alpha Strike a few weeks back and he loved it.
He has been asking for another game with lots of terrain and my fire markers.
This is the board for later today, it's going to be a knife fight.

I would love something similar for Battle/Alpha Strike, full-on 3D miniatures and terrain with the option for classic or miniature rules Battletech/Alpha Strike. Include Flechs style automation as well.

The Mek Bay "app" has added some new features. While not as automated as Flech Sheets, it works for all unit types, not just mechs. A movement button for modifiers has been added, and when you take 20 points of damage, a leg actuator, or gryo critical, you now get a PSR prompt.

The Classic #Battletech hex maps are beautiful, but as I'm learning #AlphaStrike I can see why people love the 3D terrain.
Just using the cardboard terrain from the box and some D&D battle mats make the table look awesome.

I still have some of mine in my basement. Only the well used Buck and one Thunderfighter is from my original figures
Today is a lazy day of building terrain and watching TV shows of my youth, in this instance it's Buck Rogers.
The minefields are made from small googly eyes for Alpha Strike & A Clash of Rhyfles, I always try to have my terrain be able to pull double duty.

Working on a "beaten path" field for A Clash of Rhyfles, and the flattened part is proving a bit tougher than I anticipated.
The coconut fiber is very tough and dulls the cutting blade quickly, this could take awhile. I might have to look into buying loose fibers.

The Waneta (wah-NAY-tah) LAM,the name is Native American in origin most likely Sioux. It is associated with "one who charges" or "shapeshifer".
LAMs are controversial to some, but for me they are an integral part of the Battletech experience.

Had a 3 player Classic Battletech game Saturday. Normally we put 2 players on the same team when this happens, but this time we did something different, 3 maps in a Y shape.
The map on top determines the terrain type when you have half hexes. Overall it work well

Battletech Saturdays! I ran all 55 tonners calling them 'I Can Drive 55' My Scorpion absorbed an insane amount of center torso damage, it's gryo was destroyed.
I decided at that point to yeold the field and leave with my surviving Mechs.

Played a quick game of A Clash of Rhyfles Saturday. 3 figures per side with the latest rules.
It was even steven right up till the end when it went sought for the Croftyans.
When the smoke cleared, 3 Royalist were either causalities or POWs, with a single Crusader loss.

We are a small casual group, so forewarned is good sportsmanship.
My group allows just about anything as long as you announce it beforehand so everyone can plan accordingly.
In this case Hardened armor, Reenforced Structure and or AMS.
But we are the kind of group that gets a kick out of a mech going up on a giant fireball, even if it's our own.
