1 moved to Memphis from north Mississippi in the early 1920s because he had to get a job when my great-grandpa died. The other served in the Pacific Theater in WW2 as a member of the Construction Battalions (CB--Seabees), the Navy parallel to the Army Corps of Engineers. Built roads and airstrips.
