Damn, Iβm going to have to try that.
Damn, Iβm going to have to try that.
I loved Relic and Natalie Erika Jamesβ short film Creswick, so Iβm definitely looking forward to this one.
The Deadly Spawn has a killer creature design.
Freaking love Kathe Koja. Iβve got the same advanced reading copy as you!
I would never
I am dying to read this. Kathe Koja is brilliant. Whenever I read her work, I feel Iβm in the presence of literary greatness.
Found this treasure at The Sweet Read, a used bookstore, coffee shop, and bakery in Woodstock, GA.
The first and the third are my favorites. If I saw them in a bookstore they would catch my attention.
Currently reading The Orange Eats Creeps by Grace Krilanovich. Iβll let you know how it isβ¦if I make it to the other side with my mental faculties intact.

Watched The Changeling (1980) when I couldnβt sleep last night. George C. Scott is superb in this one. Atmosphere for days. Classic haunted house vibes, deliberate pace. Solid flick.
If youβre looking for autumn vibes, you could do a lot worse than to watch Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983) adapted from Ray Bradburyβs equally excellent novel.
Spent five minutes trying to decode which metal bandβs name this spells.
Never seen this kind before, but Shin Black is a really solid ramen. It isnβt spicy, so you have to add the heat, but damn, the flavor is on point. Gotta love that carbonara Buldak, too, weird as it sounds at first. Nongshim kimchi ramen is great, too. And those are just some Korean brands I like.
Cackling at @mikeflanaganfilm.com trying to remain composed as Garth Marenghi describes the plot to his script for Bitchfinder General π€£
Iβm here to recommend a fantastic book for the whole family, John the Skeleton by Estonian writer Triinu Laan. This story about a retired classroom skeleton has a lot to say about life and death. Itβs also funny, eerie, and even a touch magical. #bookrecs
This story had a huge influence Lovecraftβs work.
Ooh I like the cover. It reminds me of the climactic scene of Les Diaboliques (1955).
FIEND WITHOUT A FACE (1958)
This is definitely among my favorite Cure songs.
Iβm not sure this is what you intended, but Iβm thoroughly convinced to watch this. Great description!
As an 8-year-old spud, I was obsessed with DEVO, had all their albums on cassette, & watched their collected videos constantly. I just saw the new DEVO documentary, and as a lifelong fan it was pretty thrilling to experience all the unprecedented photos, footage, & stories. Relevant as ever.

Thatβs the one Iβm reading next. Picked up a copy the other day!
Iβm going to go against the grain and say β sobriety?
I love that cover of The Howling. My copy of The Howling II has a similar design.
I read IT when I was nine. I remember secretly reading it on my lap in class. It seems too young to me now, but the kids in the book werenβt much older so it felt appropriate at the time. I was also imagining things just as scary as what happens in IT when I was that age.
Makes me glad I donβt smoke anymore.
Weβve all seen the weird British folk horror film from 1971, Blood on Satanβs Claw. But did you know thereβs a novelization by the original screenwriter, Robert Wynne-Simmons? Or that the illustrations are lino cut and lovingly hand-printed by Richard Wells? Now you do. @slipperyjack.bsky.social
Just found these in a $1 book bin.
Just finished reading Daphne by @joshmalerman.bsky.social. You can read Daphne in a couple of sittings, but weird imagery and crucial scenes will stick around in your head long after you return the book to your shelf. I may have to rush into another Josh Malerman story. Any recommendations?
