Hey Simon, Hopefully just a minor thing, strained my left calf a couple of weeks ago, immediately stopped running and walked back which I believe helped speed the recovery up to just over a week. Great to hear you're helping out too!

Todays events certainly point to market manipulation π€¦ββοΈ
Exactly! Musk has proven time & again he manipulates the markets for profit, even had a rap on the knuckles from the SEC for it, but guess what? The guys in the SEC now are all "yes men" So either it's manipulation or the RU asset (trump) is trying to kill the US economy on purpose.
Mrs. VAX had so many faulty Libre sensors she moved to Dexcom, they're a bit better but the biggest advantage is they're willing to listen to customer complaints. Had someone call her back to schedule a call with one of their technicians to get feedback on the issues. Abbot don't care.
As Louis Rossmann says, it's time for the high seas when things get this bad!
β οΈ New bot activity to watch out for: Bots posing as Canadians aggressively yelling at random Americans who haven't posted anything anti-Canadian. It comes off as Canadians policing anyone who is American or is in America. These accounts are designed to stir tension between the U.S. and Canada, manufacturing division to justify American support for an invasion of Canada. π¨π¦ Don't engage with hyper-zealous bots.
Apparently bots are stirring up resentment about Canadians on social media. Seems right out of the Russian playbook.
Perhaps they thought it was time to up their game and get on the letβs use crap caps bandwagon after their chips got more reliable.
Commodore didnβt really master fitting low quality capβs until the Amiga π
Can't believe it, EA have released source code for the Command & Conquer series of games - awesome, kudos to them for allowing these to be archived.

Haven't watched the vid, I got one very similar to these (from ML&S quite some time ago) and the SWR was horrendous over 30mhz. Purchase from somewhere that has a decent returns policy!
I'm surprised you didn't try to get one in about flybacks π
Would need more info to confirm, but there's an update that needs a larger size recovery partition - it could be that. KB5034441 it's a fairly easy fix but be careful if changing your partition table as you can end up not being able to boot if you do it wrong.
In @adriansdigitalbasement.com latest ep he's showing his ESP32 based modem that uses wifi instead of phone to connect to telnet/ssh based BBS youtu.be/A3Ug302U5uc?...

Howβs it coming on? Havenβt been doing much model stuff lately. Thoughts had been that as it was (at least at that time) fairly exclusive to Hornby that pricing would stay expensive
About to start building a WiFi adapter for c64 to use some telnet based BBS is yours also online? Have a modem but itβs a modern (relatively) USR 56k might have a 14.4k ISA one kicking around somewhere but nothing for the c64
Do they need to descend that low to drop sonobuoys ?
A neighbour and I have gotten to know each other quite well due to the DPD guy delivering our parcels to each others houses. Our addresses are very similar no excuse though.
Love this series, sat down a few nights ago with the intention of "I'll just watch 5 mins of this as i'm too busy" (Broken, Pt2) and before I knew it I'd watched it all. Not sure i'm keen on the Nikki/Jack thing though, takes away from it a bit.
Lets see more of this Jerry! and videos on it!
No battery protection, just kill it. π€¦ββοΈ
Just before the hurricane force storm blew through here I pulled out some UPS units (APC/Schneider and others) i'd fitted new batteries in about a year ago. I'd charged them up and left the units switched off. They were dead! 0.4v across the terminals meaning i've lost 8 batteries.
Very tempting! So many variants available. Do you know can the software be changed to make it a VNA?
Not sure what happened but we came back online tonight, a real nice surprise indeed. Really feel for the other 70,000 odd
still offline though
Living in a third world country it seems. Power been off since Friday morning, not expected to be restored for ANOTHER EIGHT DAYS! Weβve known this storm was coming for ~10 days before it hit and itβs only NOW that plans are being put in place to bring in extra engineers from Europe?!
More retro computer shenanigans
Ah the "upside down" +2! not my favourite by any means!
Not sure where heβs pulled those numbers from, local forecast says lows of -4c here not -10c thankfully!
I think it's MMCX - also in case you're not aware, some interesting stuff on the Libre SDR can be seen here: github.com/hz12opensour...
