New Archbishop of Canterbury Dame Sarah Mullally says she will speak out on misogyny The first woman to lead the Church of England in its history is officially confirmed at St Paul's Cathedral.

Great news! Mullally will be speaking out for the end of the deeply flawed 2014 settlement any day now, then. Removing the 5GP, right? No longer requiring priests to function in a toxic environment, yeah? Let's hold our breath, @watch-notequalyet.bsky.social

More reaction to the decision of Catholic leaders to continue to exclude women from priestly ministry.

#CatholicWomenPriests yet? No
Women are not “allowed”…by men.
These men are still keeping women down.

Yes, the being ‘lovely’, ‘charming’, etc, towards women/female priests has been one of the tools which are used for keeping women down, & keeping people calm about it.
It’s one of the #MaleHeadship #Complementarian #Traditionalist cloaking mechanisms.
Enough.
Time to wake up to it.

2 And @churchofengland.org leaders haven’t even done the work that two Independent Reviewers recommended should be done (in 2017 & again in 2024), to consider the pastoral & theological challenges for female clergy when a diocesan bishop is appointed who doesn’t ‘fully recognise’ their ministry.

04.11.2025 11:09 👍 1 🔁 2 💬 0 📌 0

1 This article is unbalanced: it doesn’t acknowledge that @churchofengland.org clergy opposing equality for women in ministry have not followed the 2014 Declaration terms (e.g. parish consultations, reviews, vocation referrals), which were agreed in good faith.

So the agreement is already history.

Can you help with this transparency project?
We’ve been contacted by a number of people who say that our list, compiled from the male-only priesthood societies/bishops’ own lists needs corrections!
If you know of any inaccuracies or additions to this list, please email
