How long were they in the dungeon?
Perhaps they were doing things other than gathering stuff in thereβ¦
Sajyn and Lyse cuddling under a nest of blankets.
Thatβs it. Thatβs the tweet.
A picture of Sajyn's mother, Sarnai Oronir, as modeled in the character creator because I don't have access to mods. She is the middle of her sisters and served the Oronir as an archer and hunter until she was severely wounded in battle and left for dead. However, Sajyn's father found her and nursed her back to health, whereupon they fell in love and traveled to Ala Mhigo, where they would have Sajyn, their daughter, and a few years later, Yuri, their son. However, all but Sajyn perished in the Calamity when a shard of Dalamud struck their location as they were traveling through Northern Thanalan, having fled Ala Mhigo when the Garlean occupation grew too much to take and spent years wandering the land. Though she always felt like she wanted more beyond the confines of life with the Xaela, she still carries a deep love for her family, and it would warm her heart to see Sajyn rediscovering that side of her all these years later.
A close-up of Sajyn's aunt, Uyanga Oronir. She's Sarnai's younger sister and serves as a healer. She has two children and loves to play the flute. Her kind and empathetic nature positions her as the family's emotional heart, and it's she who recognizes Sajyn's resemblance to Sarnai when she arrives at the Dawn Throne.
A close-up of Gantuya Oronir, Sajyn's aunt and the oldest sibling of her family. In stark contrast to Uyanga, Gantuya is strict as they come, managing the affairs of most of their family and clearly expected to become the new matriarch of their family once their mother, Naran (Sajyn's grandmother) passes away. She serves the Oronir as a pugilist, and it's she who taught most of her family, including her three sons, how to fight. She can come across as quite cold, and she initially dismisses any possibility that Sajyn is her niece until she sees Sajyn fight and recognizes some of her own techniques in her fighting style. The reason for her coldness, though, is that she's fiercely protective of her family ever since losing Sarnai. She secretly blamed herself for letting Sarnai "die" and not fighting harder for the right to go look for her body.
Sajyn Kojuro, Warrior of Light and daughter of Sarnai Oronir. Born of a Xaela mother and a Hingan Hyur father but raised in Ala Mhigo, she grew up not knowing about her extended family because her parents didn't want her to feel bound by her ancestry. Yet they couldn't predict that one day, years after their deaths, she would find her way to Othard and discover the family she never knew she had. And none of them could have even imagined that she would go on to become the Khagan of the entire Xaela people.
Happy International Women's Day, everyone!
In celebration, have some pics of the women of the Kojuro/Oronir family: Sajyn, her mom, Sarnai, and her aunts, Uyanga and Gantuya! Check the alt-text for bios.
Someday I'll make a full family tree to post here...

For Sajyn, it just has to be Lyse. The other Scions also matter to her, but Lyse is the one who helped Sajyn realize her own happiness is valid, and that she's capable of living a life beyond the next adventure. There was zero hesitation when she asked her to marry her.

100!
And with that, Sajynβs Dark Knight journey is concluded! Feels weird finally having an alt job at lvl 100, but there we are!
Next up, Samurai!

I thought so as well until I realized there aren't enough reflections left to fill a party of 8. All that remains besides the Source and the Void/Thirteenth are the First, Fourth, Eighth, Ninth and Eleventh (source: FF Wiki)
Y'shtola's father, Y'rhul Nunh, died from infection and left behind twelve daughters: Adebh, Sumbla, Ranmaia, Shtola, Talhdi, Mallibo, Mhitra, Raigoh, Sohnjin, Nazqha, Jhimei and Napa
The Keeper of Hades, Vaal Hazak
Tried to capture the feeling how it was the first time seeing this monster for the first time. Happy hunting!

...As a fairly quiet person, this feels hilariously perfect. For those not in the know, Tigrex has the loudest roar in the entire series, to the point that it actually damages you.

A shard of Sajyn's brother, Yuri, where he went on to become a WoL while Sajyn was the one who died in a tragic event.
Shards of Ysayle, Haurchefaunt, Papalymo and OG Yda (but with different names)
And the rest are shards of her old party that I don't have names for yet but will at some point.
In Sajyn's case, the crystal functions more on instinct than anyone specific (at least at first), summoning WoLs from other reflectionsβothers who received the Echo like what happens in the ShB patchesβand they're all shards of people she knows/knows of from her adventures in the source. They are:
#wolqotd | #wolquestion
Inspired by an earlier QotD, we know that Azem's soul crystal contains a spell that summons allies to their side, but besides that, the lore around it is quite vague. So, who gets summoned when your WoL uses the crystal? Are there any unique twists you've given to it?
Guess I'll hop on this trend as well!

They seem to fall into three camps:
βOMG I LOVE YOUR FIC PLEASE CLICK THIS EXTREMELY SKETCHY LINKβ
βYouβre clearly using AI for this.β
Orβ¦
βIβm quitting this fic because I canβt take it anymore. Iβm a proud homophobe and youβll doom us all.β
That last one is a summary of an actual comment I got
Just happened to me today. At least this one didnβt accuse me of using AI.
I genuinely thought Middy was the one who said βBurger pleaseβ for a second
Es-tiny-en, anyone?
You just made this girl kill her childhood fantasy. You monster.
8-year-old Sajyn is dying inside right now.
All those fantasies about wanting to be a sea-maidβ¦ reinvigorated after learning to breathe underwaterβ¦
AND THEN A STUPID MAGIC BOOK FORCES HER TO KILL ONE!
If you need to reach her, sheβll be sobbing into a pillow for the next hour.

At the very least, I havenβt done it yet and it would be a nice break from the usual roulette + society grind.
Thanks for this! Will definitely give it a shot!
I have decided to share my HCs for Arcadion fighter ages because I refuse to accept the canon ones. They're stupid.
First up: Yaana
She's 22. She just gives me that vibe. Fiery and wants to look cool, and you know what? She IS cool. She's a bit hot headed, but more tempered than a teen.
As someone who got into a LOT of fights as a kid, Sajyn's got a really high pain tolerance. Aside from some really serious attacks, she can keep going for a surprisingly long time. This also makes her a pain for any healers when they need her to rest but she keeps going "I'm FINE."
#sajynlore
Conflict is conflict. Sajyn doesnβt take pleasure in killing (usually), but she wonβt go out of her way to avoid it either. That said, she has eased up on it as of EW. Being a monk makes it easier, since she knows exactly where to strike to paralyze her opponent.
#sajynlore
In my canon, the summons are shards of people she knows/knew but come from other reflection and arenβt necessarily Scions. In other words, theyβre WoLs of their shards.
And one of them is a reflection of her brother, where he went on to become a WoL and Sajyn was the one who died.
