If a wedding website says the dress code is “formal/black tie optional” that just means i have to wear a long dress, but it doesn’t have to be a dark color, right? The wedding is in Brooklyn in May so I really wouldn’t want to wear black.

In 2021! I do vaguely remember having to do things really early. I can’t imagine getting a wedding invite 4 weeks before the wedding!

We got a save the date for a wedding in the spring. Is that early or normal? Also it’s black tie optional and I have no clothes for that so I’ll be renting something

I love this time of year because my socials always show “slow living” accounts talking about what our grandmas did that we don’t now. My grandma loved tv dinners and smoked a pack a day, but apparently everyone else’s loved natural remedies and growing their own food.

Just quietly sobbing on my couch thinking about all the death in the world while my toddler watches little bear and twirls in a princess dress. My heart is just breaking for all the families in Gaza, Thailand, Congo, etc.

Really in my feels today about not having a second baby. I do NOT want one 99.9% of the time. I mostly just wish my kid had a girl cousin close in age. My sisters kid is 8 and all cousins born after her are boys so my girl is often alone/not included in outtings.

My kid was the opposite 😭 she’s usually so excited to go, but today she begged to stay home

The best part about my job is that not only do I have a boss who can tell me that I’m doing the wrong thing, but I also have staff to tell me I’m doing the wrong thing, and clients. Just so many people who can 100% do my job better than I can!

I don’t! Portugal sounds great to me since it’s similar to Spanish so I might not have too hard a time learning a new language. English speaking countries are either just as bad as America or really hard to move to lol

So where are we moving to that’s safe?

I’m partial to Lincoln Square on my upper west side. My dad worked over there and it’s very quiet. You can walk to all the sights if you’re interested in them, but when you head back to where you’re staying it’s a lot quieter.
