I don't get all the hype about '80s movies. They didn't make any of my favorite kind: the '80s nostalgia movie

No no, this is Bluesky, you're supposed to be posting "Capital gains are the ownership class stealing the value of labor and should be taxed at 120% to fund free childcare for endangered owls." The revolution is coming any day now
For a few years I did that work and I prided myself on respecting the timing and then of course all the apps came along that do it badly but free and nowadays you see a lot more of that, don'tcha
Me Thanksgiving morning
Genuinely shocked that the fifth one made it on, good to see some people on here having a nice time
Today I review CHICKEN CROSSING, a short story by @adambertocci.bsky.social Who else could write a poignant meditation on love, death, and fate using the corniest of old jokes? #booksky ruinedchapel.com/2026/03/06/b...

They were still at it by the time I was out of earshot but I really was impressed with the snippet I received.
Just launched my new sports gambling platform, DraftViziers. You don't place bets yourself, you just watch other people do it and occasionally tell them, "Well wagered, sire" or "I would advise against that action, my liege"
Not sure why everyone was expecting a market crash today. That only happens for important things, like if a tech company isn't given Belgium, or some guy says something
They say that it's easier to _get_ a job when you _have_ a job. Is it also easier to get a third job when you have two jobs? If so, by the time you have eight or nine jobs it ought to be trivially easy to secure all employment in the known universe
If you think Trump's mad at Anthropic *now*, wait till he finds out some of his books were swiped to train their AI. Do you think he'll fill out the class action form himself or have the DOJ help him
Iβve successfully replaced all my employees with AI.

We need to put people over profits. By "people", of course, I mean me. And also I still want profits
Everyone in America is impoverished and miserable, and the only thing that will change it is a revolution. But the revolution will never happen, because everyone in America is too well-off and satisfied.

Inventing a new stock index called the S&P 499. It's the S&P 500 except without Bunge Global. Never you mind why. Bunge Global knows what it did

i don't understand how the whole thing works but the smaller parts and underlying processes and mechanisms are also beyond my understanding.
Young Steven Spielberg dutifully logging his 19th rewatch of his film of the crashing toy trains on his Letterboxd
Tough economy these days. I went through my whole building and not one person hired me to clear the snow outside their apartment.
I wish I was better at counting reasons. I can think of zero reasons why
I want everyone who disagrees with me to know there's no place for them in our political party! But I _don't_ want them to not vote for us!
Wow, this has been a really great Winter Olympics for the US. And the best part is, I just looked out the window and we'll have four solid years of winter to train for the next one!
Mount Rushmore is on my Mount Rushmore of giant sculpted heads
I'm very consistent, sometimes
I love #Olympics figure skating but I don't follow well. Someone wobbles on a jump a hair's breadth for 0.003 seconds and the commentators are all "Oh. How absolutely devastating for her". Another literally falls down or throws their partner into the crowd or eats their skate and apparently it's NBD
Frederick Wiseman's films reminded us to slow down and looking around in a world that makes us want to move too fast and where the device in our pocket wants to show us things that meet that pace. RIP.
