In times like this you gotta try to at least savour the moral righteousness that comes from nearly every one of your enemies being associated with Epstein. Hard to get stronger external evidence that you're on the right track than that.

"The only thing I know is that I don't know anything."
"So...like Socrates?"
"No…more like an actual ignorant person who doesn't know shit."
"Oh."
The existence of a Luigi who kills healthcare executives implies the existence of a Waluigi who kills people with medical debt.
we're all dead this is hell and we're gonna keep getting the "Listen kiddo, I get it" lecture from democrats for eternity
I also vividly remember none of them being deployed to help during the 2021 ice storm. People froze in their beds, and the state did nothing to help them.
the Kent State massacre was metabolized as a tragedy in history books, but it was cheered by reactionaries at the time. the fantasy of delivering violence to naive young liberals is foundational to the modern right. they never learned the lesson of Kent State because they never stopped supporting it
Extra credit if you, as a professional opinion-haver, tells other people that they don’t work hard enough
than the complete bullshit of cryptocurrencies and NFTs and a bunch of other silicon valley futurist shit. For drone delivery stuff, the economics of it are just never going to work out unless energy costs plummet astronomically and people tolerate them falling out of the sky on them sometimes.
I don't know about "general artificial intelligence" but I have a suspicion that a lot of the bubble around generative AI programs is more overhype and overinvestment on immature tech than complete nonsense. I think there's more potential reality to it, in the long run. More like the .com bubble,
of a third of my daily calorie intake or something.
Yeah, sugar is my worst vice too. I eat a lot of sweets, but I stopped drinking soda and other sweet drinks, except on rare occasions, around 16 years ago when I was in college when I used to drink Dr. Pepper daily. When I'm medicated, I still eat sweets, but it's more like one treat a day isntead
I don't know if I lucked out or not, but I am mostly addicted to sugar and when medicated, I tend to eat better in general and crave sweets a lot less.
From what I can see, it's a good look for you Leon. Whatever you end up doing, I hope you will be able to feel more comfortable with your appearance. I think you deserve to feel good about yourself.
“I oppose all violence” usually means there are people against whom violence isn’t really violence because they’re not considered fully human. Anyone supporting the current system supports an unbelievable amount of daily, globe-spanning, horrible violence. It’s baked in.
The reactions of two Jewish Columbia students, from today's New York Times report on the protests.
Tweet from @asadabukhalil Look how the New York Times now frames pro-Palestine activism on college campuses: The New Hork Times Antisemitism on Campus Protests at Columbia Over 100 Arrested at Columbia After Pro-Palestinian Protest At least 108 protesters were in custody, the police said, after officers clad in riot gear cleared tents from a pro-Palestinian demonstration on campus. More students have arrived to show support and put up new ones. Published April 18, 2024 Updated April 19, 2024, 8:46 a.m. ET
Reminder that a lot of these students are Jewish!! And there have been countless, real instances of Islamophobia on campus but it would never get framed that way! This is sickening.
Well damn. I need one of those.
oh boy, I'm fucked. I hate executive dysfunction.
Lmao. Something like 20 years straight of insomnia was miserable. Now, when medicated properly, I can sometimes get a good nights sleep. Unmedicated, I'm a mess.
I just try to gradually make as many things as possible habits that I don't have to actively think about doing to accomplish. I still don't accomplish a ton but I at least get my spouse taken care of. I'm more productive than I used to be, in that regard, but when it comes to more irregular stuff
Oh god. I am IRL friends with a few zoomers that I play Magic with. Gotta ask them what that was like some time.
if fast food burgers prices rise by 15 cents so that fast food employees can make a living wage i might just end it all
Google chart of “kids in cages” usage over time, showing a steep decline during Biden’s term
It was so heartening to see all those people show up in numbers at the airports when they did—only for almost all of those people to be perfectly fine with kids in cages once it was a Democrat putting them there. We are doomed if that shit doesn’t change immediately.
Remember when liberals were calling maga chuds cultists because Trump could shoot a man on 5th avenue and they'd still vote for him. Well Biden can execute a Palestinian live every night before the election and libs will still vote for him.
To have millions of people around the world pretending to believe the most obvious, vile and provably false lies I’ve ever heard and constantly accusing US of lying and acting in bad faith, of being bloodthirsty pieces of shit, is just… making me a little insane, that’s all.
I can’t conceive of the unbelievable resilience and strength of Palestinians to have dealt with this gaslighting for decades. To have the world go along with the narrative of your colonizers unquestioningly.
incredible job
