I’m committing to working with Tribal Leaders to pass a Sovereignty bill in my first 100 days as governor. Recognizing Tribal nations with the same recognition as the other 574 Tribes is long overdue and vitally important.

I was inspired to join Maine nurses for a vigil this evening in Portland to honor the life of Alex Pretti. Our state has been through a lot the past couple of weeks but Mainers keep showing up for each other. Nurses do the heavy lifting caring for us, and they always show up for their communities.
This is both outrageous and heartbreaking. Senator Susan Collins has the power to stop funding this terror. Keep calling and standing up! We need ICE OUT of Maine. NOW!

It was a fun night and so great to talk with so many about the future of Maine and what’s at stake in 2026. We also celebrated the hard work of the Maine Democratic Party’s staff and volunteers in defeating Question 1 earlier this month!
I had a great time gathering with other Maine Democrats at the Blue Wave Gala in Portland. I was excited to meet Governor Pritzker, Officer Harry Dunn, and DNC Vice Chair Malcolm Kenyatta and thank them for their incredible leadership.
As I’ve worked on Maine’s Housing Affordability Plan, one thing is clear: Washington isn’t helping. Trump’s 50-year mortgage plan isn’t viable—it dumps debt on families and boosts big banks. Maine’s next governor must fight for housing people can truly afford.
From ending veteran homelessness to supporting the workers who will build the housing we need, this plan is about big solutions. But to make more housing happen, we need to win this race. So, after raising a toast to housing Maine people can afford, the real work starts. Join us!
