Caffeine can sometimes help. Chocolate always does (but chocolate pretty much helps everything anyway).
The doctor had me on this med in particular that really messed with my head & mental health/focus & I'm doing better now that I switched meds, but oh did it make it nearly impossible to write!
Some creative marketing can be fun, but overall it is definitely the toughest part of the job. It's nonstop & between horrific anxiety, low spoons, & a constantly changing game, it can be exhausting & difficult.

their presence leaves behind felt by the remaining characters. Everything is a web & if a character shows up they're connected in some way. At least, so far!
Technically, I could have probably taken him out, but he illustrates a very important thing for the other characters.
When Morning Comes is a huge story that wraps up the other 3 books & certain characters from those 3 exit stage left as new characters show up, but even then, there are ripples
I don't think I've ever scrapped a character. Whenever a character shows up, there tends to be a reason & point to them. Even with a character like Zane, the point is he is completely forgettable & the King still cares more about him than Rochelle. And finds him more acceptable than Henry.
