I think the immediate post-9/11 taboo around questioning military decisions/leaders is well past and it’s time to recenter responsible leadership over blind patriotic obedience. “Support the troops” means not letting them be wielded as a tool of oppression and blind violence.

Someone said Democrats would probably refuse to hold military leaders accountable for their actions in this war after this administration ends but I look back at the atrocities from Iraq/Afghanistan that were prosecuted and say we can do it again. We can do more.
