I really am loving Starfleet Academy, what a fantastic tribute to DS9 and Sisko that used the past and the future to further develop their characters
Wow! What sounded like the entire AEW Dynamite audience in Las Vegas tonight chanted "Fuck ICE! Fuck ICE!" in unison before the main event
Frodo: what a week, huh? Gandalf: Frodo, itβs Tuesday.

I feel this
"Our standing rule is: If one of us brings up using GenAI in any of our work, then it's safe to assume we've been assimilated by The Thing and should be burned alive by Kurt Russell," said a game design consultant in the US.
Cover to THE CALAMITIES by Chuck Wendig (designed by The Boland Design Co). Dark cover -- blacks, reds, golds. A man in a fancy suit with a blurred red face sits on a leather couch, casually, legs crossed, arms spread in recline. Above him is a gold-framed painting of a man spread in hellish torment. At the top, the text: NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author of THE BOOK OF ACCIDENTS
There's quite a lot going on, so it feels weird to be like HEY HEY LOOK AT ME, but maybe you like books, and like books by me, and want to see the cover to my next one, coming in August:
No book is going to turn kids into someone else. But books will regularly show kids other people like them and show those kids they're not alone. And they'll show kids other types of people who also exist. There is a large proportion of the population who are terrified of this.

Another year, another Christmas where I wonder what magic my dad uses to get the ends so nicely wrapped because I certainly didnβt inherit the ability. π«

Picture of a massive steam engine in a 2-8-8-8-2 configuration with three sets of driving wheels, the third set being under the engineβs tender. The name Erie is emblazoned on the tender
This has of course led me to some funny looking engines that I never knew existed like the triplex with all the wheels
Iβve had a lot of fun lately with doing world building by going through actual experimental trains to see what problems were trying to be resolved, where the prototypes hit limitations, and then trying to play with how more fantastical elements might have succeeded
Sharing for the morning crowd!
If anyone wants a review copy, just let me know.

Sci-fi themed graphic focusing on a book review for Bounty Inc. The cover for the book takes up the bottom right corner and the bottom left has a QR code that leads to my website, bountyink.com, as well as text listing the website. The top is the book review, with the text reading "Expect banter, bounty hunting, found family, and a touch of heartache, but in the best way." by Julia Kitvaria Sarene from Fantasy-Faction. It is a five star review.
You could be reading Bounty Inc. It's not too late.

One part of moving I didnβt consider was the difficulty of finding a place to get out of the house and write that hits the same as my old one
I'm gonna go with D&D being incredible for this! It's collaborative storytelling, so the DM works with the players, and when it works the storytelling is BEAUTIFUL! Not to mention the dice can take a story into a way no one could have expected and make it so much fun.
Here I am running my train under the tree because my dog wants to see it go
This story was SO fun and healing to work on, and I am absolutely honoured that it has a place in the Book of Spores! Come check out the whole anthology π

2700 words tonight. Yeah, the words for this story are flowing like spice on Arrakis.
Replace 'Monday' with 'Wednesday' and 'the day before a holiday' but the message remains!
The video I watched today about getting a steam engine ready to run may only factor into a line in current WIP but it sure was interesting
