Over the years Iβve created many conference reading lists, but this is definitely my first conference playlist! Iβve been singing Wilson Phillips on repeat for 3 days now π€π΅ #LILAC25

Who knew info literacy specialists were so musical?

Thanks so much for attending our session!
We used this at the beginning of our workshop yesterday to learn how others have used UX. I thought I'd add it here to see if anyone else in #LILAC25 wants to contribute. Share details with others if you want to follow up with a chat. There's some amazing work going on! tiny.cc/z6qg001
It was @suebecks.bsky.social who first got me started on social media waaay back. If I was still attending conferences I'd definitely be posting/skeeting and sharing with #AcademicSky
For the #lilac2025 people and whole #infolit community - a rather fab song to end my keynote from me and @cbowiemorrison.bsky.social and now on Soundcloud: soundcloud.com/chris-morris...
An interesting metaphor for referencing, βit is like showing your receipts for all the work that youβve done.β #LILAC25
Lowri saying students go for the easiest option and will often skip databases/ library resources due to complex interface. Thinking about vendors telling us their interfaces are "super easy" to use... #LILAC25
A packed room for our workshop, today! Thank you to everyone who attended, participated and shared. #LILAC25
I find it so interesting that we've had many different ways of finding the same thing: People find library interfaces/ systems really difficult to deal with. We've maybe had small improvements but no big leaps to user friendliness. #LILAC25
A screen showing a slide with the text UX for information literacy: the use of diaries to explore information seeking behaviours.
At the UX for info lit session! @lowriwillslib.bsky.social #LILAC25
Is traditional information literacy like folk music, and AI literacy our moment to "go electric"? Under the hype about AI we still need a solid foundation of information literacy, but we may need to rethink some of our models and practices #lilac25
Are we going from traditional folk to electric? #lilac25
@jsecker.bsky.social bossing multiple videos and songs within her presentation with no tech issues! I start to sweat if Iβve got an animation in my slides. #lilac25
βCopyright represents power and people who have powerβ @jsecker.bsky.social #lilac25 βlibrarians have a crucial role in maintaining the balance in copyright lawβ
@jsecker.bsky.social claims Librarians are the most innovative teachers! I agree, we are always trying to prove we are worthy in the βteaching space,β owning our teaching status and being as creative and innovative as we can. #LILAC25
Love @jsecker.bsky.social comparison of Star Wars βforceβ to information literacy! Iβve always wanted lightsaber. #LILAC25
Jane introducing the concept of "information wars". Have we lost the global war on misinformation? #lilac25
Wow, congratulations Bec! A testament to your hard work and supportπ. You are utterly brilliant. #LILAC25

Enjoying following the threads about today's #LILAC25 sessions. Looking forward to being there in person tomorrow and presenting about UX methodologies for information literacy! First time presenting at LILAC too.
Final reminder. #LTHEchat is happening TODAY at 20:00 GMT/ BST and will focus on the important and topical issue of #postplagiarism in the age of AI. We will be joined by @saraheaton.bsky.social

I would have welcomed more case studies and more practical insights. It was very product focused, which I understand but not always possible to see how your institution can utilise it(or afford it). I think AI literacy is a fundamental that needed discussing too!

A cautionary tale on innovating solutions without involving those affected. A Β£144,000 bridge in the Netherlands to help squirrels cross a busy road and avoid getting squished. One year on, one squirrel has used it. No one asked the squirrels! π #Digifest25
Paul's talk reminded me of an exercise I've done before, and should bring backβat the start of the project along with regular planning have the team think about and describe "What would failure look like?" #digifest25
