A very nearly complete red hat, shown still on the knitting needles. The hat has a deep ribbed brim that is folded up, and then the fabric changes to a smoother, flatter fabric in this case, stockinette, and has a pointed top reminiscent of the Chronicle hats of gnomes from the Norwegian folk tale traditions. This is protest Knitting in America in 2026.

Are DPNs a new tool for you? I love knitting with them and encourage you to keep trying to build the skill! There are lots of ways to knit a small circumference in the round - lots to explore.

Multiple colors are being used to create a floral motif, which is indistinguishable on the wrong side of the fabric and presents as lots of loose and somewhat chaotic threads in shades of pink and gray and dark and light green. It will be a hat eventually.

This is another Musselburgh Hat used as a canvas for stranded motifs and as written and imagined by @ysoldaknits.bsky.social I’m mixing floral motifs from vintage patterns and incorporating duplicate stitch for pops of color.

Even with a very generously funded gofundme, my cancer treatments left me thousands of dollars in debt and I still need care. My deductible is HUGE and my out of pocket maximum is even more huge. Absurd. And demoralizing.
