Thank you to the NY Attorney Generalβs Office for affirming our community.
Done! Thanks, I didnβt know until I read a post Iβd read earlier in the day and I knew it wasnβt from that account.
So, are you copying & pasting other peopleβs posts and not crediting them?

A ghastly acceleration into Transphobic government. Just horrifying.
A very nearly complete red hat, shown still on the knitting needles. The hat has a deep ribbed brim that is folded up, and then the fabric changes to a smoother, flatter fabric in this case, stockinette, and has a pointed top reminiscent of the Chronicle hats of gnomes from the Norwegian folk tale traditions. This is protest Knitting in America in 2026.
Almost done. I went back & forth about knitting this hat. I cast on, had to start over (because gauge), & then as I knit it & the news stayed steadily grim, I had the tiniest experience of empowerment. Iβm grabbing it & running with it. I remain antifascist af. #knitsky #antifascistknitting
Same.
Maybe itβs an old post? Maybe the world is as off kilter as it feels?
Maybe it just created an opportunity for us to shake our heads in dismay together for a quick moment.
Are DPNs a new tool for you? I love knitting with them and encourage you to keep trying to build the skill! There are lots of ways to knit a small circumference in the round - lots to explore.
Well yeah, I know - but he was @-ed in the post and it seems reasonable to offer an acknowledgement
Appalling. Please, someone tell Justin Trudeau how terrible this makes us feel.
A close-up of the wrong side of a Knitting project on the needles. Multiple colors are being used to create a floral motif, which is indistinguishable on the wrong side of the fabric and presents as lots of loose and somewhat chaotic threads in shades of pink and gray and dark and light green. It will be a hat eventually.
Wrong side: stranded color work in the round is my favorite.
This is another Musselburgh Hat used as a canvas for stranded motifs and as written and imagined by @ysoldaknits.bsky.social Iβm mixing floral motifs from vintage patterns and incorporating duplicate stitch for pops of color.
Oooh I love stripes. Nice!!
Whatβs on your knitting needles for the snowstorm? #knitsky
Nah- I love a random person on the internet acknowledging that they donβt know everything. Itβs a fine question & the answers have been chatty & mostly very kind & interesting.
ps theyβre twisted every other row, itβs likely the purl row
Friend, welcome to the joy of knitting! If you mean for them to be, carry on but your stitches are twistedβ have a look at a verypinkknits tutorial or a Patty Lyonsβ video with the search term βtwisted stitches.β
First few repeats of a knitting pattern working up into a bit of cloth shaped like a triangle. One yarn is a dark reddish pink and the other a gradient, plied yarn that fades from pink to green (so far). It will be a bandana style cowl. Shown on the needles and with a bright blue lifeline at the end of a repeat.
A few more repeats works in a knitting pattern working up into a bit of cloth shaped like a triangle. One yarn is a dark reddish pink and the other a gradient, plied yarn that fades from pink to green (so far). It will be a bandana style cowl. Shown on the needles and with a bright blue lifeline at the end of a repeat. The pattern is formed by slipping and increasing and decreasing stitches. Itβs lovely.
Iβll post about knitting since I was posting about medical debt and now Iβm feeling low.
New WIP on the needles tonight: the very beautiful thistle thorn cowl by @lavanyapatricella.bsky.social #knitsky #yarn
Even with a very generously funded gofundme, my cancer treatments left me thousands of dollars in debt and I still need care. My deductible is HUGE and my out of pocket maximum is even more huge. Absurd. And demoralizing.
So pro-life itβs mind blowing.
Sigh.

Ooh, thatβs a lovely quote.
Oh dear God, itβs all of the comments already here.
Such a great read!
Seconded.
