I think they’re trying to be objective to avoid the scrutiny of publicly releasing such breakdowns; I really think that’s one of the last things the FIG wants to do, just for the sheer volume of paperwork
As a gymnastics fan, I do like how much transparency there is in figure skating scoring, in so far as breakdowns are released, the technical score is composed in real time, etc. In gymnastics we’re basically reverse-engineering the score once it comes out, so we’re constantly in a state of
