It was great to talk about how chatbot relationships change us with @pbsnews.org @wbrangham.bsky.social, Justin Gregg, and Nick Thompson. I'm struck by the irony of social media platforms increasing the conditions for greater loneliness that they then say only a new technology, chatbots, can solve.

This was such a fun paper to write! The development leading up to todayโs social/behavioral science with AI agents. The history itself is a roller-coaster ride connecting many of the big themes of 20/21 century human-centric science.

#OpenAI is going all-in on adoption; from consulting, training and soon social media. Gloves are off, this 'push' on #AI adoption is much faster than what we've ever seen. The worrying is that without a doubt the concentration of power to only a few, as #MoGawdat refers the digital soil.
