Wishing you first set lucky.
I am regretting it - today I thought I would watch the first episode and see if I liked it - wasn't sure I did - a bit weird, very fast dialogue and noisy but then proceeded to watch the next seven episodes. I am too old to go to bed at 3am after a binge session.
Today would have been Harold Steggles' 115th birthday as he was born on 8th February 1911. Very sadly, he died, tragically young, of leukaemia, aged just 60 on 13th October 1971. I have attached a few examples of his work along with a lovely photo of him. #HaroldSteggles #botd #EastLondonGroup

Definitely a nasty surprise when he was made ambassador.
I am a patient representative on the Steering Committee of #TOURIST which oversees the #PRINCE and #QUARTZ Lung trials. Please do follow upon the link below if interested further.
Congratulations. We always take it in turns to remember to give a card. Unplanned.
You could at least give it to us here Gareth

In essence, the study emphasises that, 'clean indoor air matters because good ventilation reduces the buildβup of exhaled pollutants - including viruses - keeping people healthier, safer and more comfortable'.

Fred in 1912.
Frederick Fleetβs grave at Hollybrook Cemetery.
Remembering Titanic lookout Frederick Fleet who, sadly, took his own life on this day in 1965 in the garden of 8 Norman Road, Southampton. His wife had recently passed away and he was in the process of being evicted from his lodgings.

An analogy for a lot of us now.

John Lewis brown paper like rolls in silver, red, green etc used to be excellent but have degraded, very disappointing.
I had that with some lovely high quality wrapping paper. Had to resort to garden twine and yes a slight pressure once wrapped and it tore. Had looked high and low so as to avoid the very thin available everywhere rolls.
Itβs true. My daughter has promised me a superior type of incontinence pads as the extent of her personal care. π«©π³π€£
Thanks for the links. As someone who retired and spent four years looking after parents 100 miles away from my home and who is now getting to that era myself I take a personal interest and do not see anything improving quite the opposite.
Thank you for continuing our Sunday tradition and a happy new year
My 8 year old @Canon Pixma printer that calmly printed a run of 5 of 300 gsm cardstock at a time died after printing 100 cards. There appears to be nothing in the home printer market that can do the same. All seem to have reviews that mirror your experience. Whatβs yours?
New #IOS terms and conditions. Agree or Disagree. But they are in Spanish. Anyone else got the same? Agree or stop using my phone, iPad, laptop. #apple
@mrjamesob.bsky.social Your guest on right now is right. I have seen ads showing nurses masking up but wearing baggy blues which are useless as they give the pretence of protection.

@jmcefalas.bsky.social I think we followed each other in the old reincarnation?
My org @fightforthefuture.org has been βde-googlingβ for the last year.
Weβre totally off Google suite, Google docs, Drive, Calendar.
Weβre using Signal and Element for chat, Nextcloud for docs, etc
Planning to publish a βhow toβ guide for other nonprofits and activist groups soonish.
βNHS England is rolling out software to run our health records from Palantir β a US spy-tech firmβ¦Weβve set up a simple tool so you can find out if your local NHS trust has started using the software & send an email demanding they say no to Palantir.β

I can't fix Brexit mess but I can thank you for the great quality wrapping paper I received from you this week. More people need to buy from small businesses like @gailmyerscough.co.uk
I wonβt get private insurance either. I do not like the direction of our health care and there is no social care plan.
Hope it gets sorted. All feels difficult now.
