That post won’t go down well with all the nice liberal folk on here as Mark has found with his own BlueSky post. A lot of those nice, kind, thoughtful BlueSky people aren’t that different to their twitter counterparts on the opposite side of the political spectrum on certain subjects 😏

You’re miss the point. How are you assessing ‘income’? Because guess what George, the grafters, the dealers, the duckers and divers, they don’t actually declare their earnings. It’s cash in hand. They spend it on gear and cars and shiney stuff. And they’re laughing at ‘nice’ people like you.

The naivety of the middle class left always amuses me.Half those on benefits are grafters. They work cash in hand, often in non legal trades. Benefits are a lifestyle choice to top up their earnings and they laugh at middle class lefties trying to ‘help’.They don’t need it,they’re smarter than you.

What’s ‘poor’ though? Is poor not being able to afford designer leisure wear and Just Eat 3 nights a week? Because I know people you’d call ‘poor’. On benefits and accessing food banks but still get their takeaways, use taxis and wear top of the range trainers. Are they worthy of more funding?

Services is one thing. Benefits paid to grafters, duckers and divers, spongers and dealers is another. Because what the ‘nice’ people on BS fail to grasp is that most of the benefits ‘poor’ are actually earning. A lot in some cases. And not paying tax. The political left are so naive on this point.

What’s ’rich’ and ‘poor’ George? And how do you redistribute this wealth? The super rich are mobile, they’ll simply move away leaving more of the ‘middle’ to pick up the bill. Those people will see no benefit in working hard, investing, growing to fund those doing nothing. Race to the bottom.

Same sort of mass exodus we saw from Twitter to here. A few move, say how great it is, realise everyone is still on twitter and BlueSky is totally bereft of content and engagement, then skulk back to twitter… unless you were one of those daft enough to delete your account 😏

It’s the latter and that’s what gets some people’s back up. Of course all communities should be fairly represented but most corporates cynically over represent diversity. Think about a pub scene advert with white, black, brown, Chinese, a wheelchair etc etc and how that compares to reality?
