A week ago I had no trips planned for the rest of the year.
Now I have 3 planned, covering a total of 7 different countries (6 new, one repeat).
Hopefully this will stop me obsessively checking for cheap flights xD

Not been very active recently as just always so exhausted from work, but I've only got 3 days left until my contract is finished and I'm so excited to have free time again!
First up though is a nice week away in the sun to relax, read and swim.
Photo of jars labelled Jeju Hallabong Tea. The price label below says Β£4.25.
Been missing Korea a lot so decided to treat myself to some delicious citrus tea from Jeju. Also bought myself a nice Yuzu one too. Can't wait to have a cup when I get home!
Finished another new post. This time about my very extreme day trip to Wroclaw from Scotland. I had such a great time spotting dwarves, I could probably write another post just to show all the dwarf photos!

I tend to alternate between a pain au Chocolat or just a plain croissant. Then it's always a lemon meringue as my sweet treat.
I'm supporting local businesses, which is never a bad thing.
Luckily I'm visiting at the weekend (and I'll be a guest) so I can have as much as I'd like.
Gonna spend all my money at bakeries and patisseries. Can't wait!
Had a very stressful day, and my method of relieving stress is to book flights.
So now I'm going back to Bratislava!
I loved it when I first visited it back in 2012, so looking forward to visiting again and exploring a bit more.
Honestly don't even need to plan anything at this point for Paris. I know where I want to eat, I know where I want to shop and I know where I'll sleep.
Such an easy trip!
Plus it gives me the chance to practice French for free!
I booked for the free museum Sunday so really I'm saving money!
Meme with the guy looking at a girl in the red dress. The guy is labelled me, the girl he's holding hands with says "Countries I've not visited yet" and the girl in red says Paris.
Whoops, somehow planning a trip somewhere new turned into booking more flights to Paris.
I still need to do that for my city, I keep saying that I can do local posts when I run out of ones from trips but it's not likely that'll happen anytime soon!
Of course since I don't know how long their teacher will be off, it means I can't book anything yet but the longer I'm there, the more I can save up.
When I worked full time, I liked my trips to be inspired by my classes so we'll see if anything inspires me this term.
I was not expecting to have much work this term, but I'm actually booked for the entire term working full-time with my own class, with the potential for it to be extended into the second term.
So no more travelling for a while, which means I can save for another big trip!
I think I'm going to try and alternate between a post from this year, and a post from a previous trip, so that I can continue my goal of "Every country visited this year" while also making progress with all my draft posts.
Another new post! This time for a trip from last year when I did a day trip to Prizren from Tirana. I had a great time there, and it was really easy to do by myself.

I asked my bf if we could go to London for this, and he suggested we just spend the amount of money it would cost to do that to create our own version at home because "It would be way more cheese once you add in travel costs"
So now we're organising a cheese night.
It also has the added bonus of counting for both Mexico and Belize as part of my goal of having a post about every country I visited this year!
Not gonna lie, that was the main motivation as then it reduces the number of countries on my "Countries Visited" page with no posts.
Finally got around to getting my new posts proofread, so here's the first one! I wrote about my experience getting the ferry from Belize to Mexico (as everything I found online was on going from Mexico to Belize).

... The worst part is I thought "hmm, they didn't give me anything for safety so I should try this" and then just used it the wrong way and determined it was of no use.
I'm just very glad I'm ambidextrous because I now can't use my right thumb without it hurting a lot.
My sister did immediately video call me and make me show her all the attachments and then tell me "that one is what you use to slice things to keep you safe".
In my defense it was labelled as "holder for food remnants" rather than "holder for slicing".
Photo of a food slicer. It's being used with a fork holding the potato. The hand holding the fork has a bandage thumb.
Bought myself a food slicer so I can thinly slice things safely because I often accidentally injure myself when chopping.
As you will see, I immediately managed to injure myself with it.
I bought a really nice photo album last year and kept saying I would get some free prints to put into it. I finally ordered some last month so today I've been able to fill it and then make this months order based on the missing sizes.
I'm so pleased I finally got around to doing this! βοΈπΊοΈ
Fingers, luckily his shoes stayed on at all times.
... I'm on the bus and kept hearing a weird clicking sound.
The guy opposite me is sitting there trimming his nails!
Who does that on public transport?

Today I went for the country with the most views (France, if you don't count the UK and the US), then if I finish that, then my next post will be for a country that I've not got any posts about (Australia).
I always struggle trying to decide what post to write next, because I have so many that I want/need to write and so get overwhelmed by which one to do next.
I've come up with a new, fun way to decide. I look at my views for the day and pick a country from there.

It's now 2am, but I managed to completely finish one draft (which only had the headings written) and I'm just finishing up a new post from scratch - just adding photos and doing final checks.
Day 1 of focusing on the blog has been a success! Hoping to keep this up tomorrow!
