I look into the living room this morning to see 13 standing on the couch with the swiffer in her hand, the cleaning end touching the ceiling with a paper towel attached.

Apparently there was a spider she was trying to kill. I then saw is spinning a web down, almost to her hand.

We live pretty close to Microsoft’s new data center.

We have dealt with loud construction for years but we’re relieved that is done.

Now they started up the fans

The community groups this morning are all talking about the noise. You can hear it in your house a mile down the road.

Almost to the end of Old Oak. For several years we played a mystery family game together on Fri nights but fell out of the routine a few months back, but tonight it returned. Tomorrow we are hoping to take down the robot and finish the game

Bloom is such a great whenever game. We use to play it a lot when we had to go to the infusion clinic but brought it out this week during infusion at home

When I was a teen I saw a chiro, he sold his biz to another one, a couple years later the orig one decided he wanted back in, so in the middle of the night he and the secretary stole everyone's medical records and opened a new clinic. He was not held responsible in any way

I’m thankful for it. I’d played mafia a few times as a teen but kiddo does virtual Boys and Girls club and they play often so she wanted to play at home, I’m glad there is a way to play it well at a low player count

My youngest asked to play #BoardGames today which brought One Night Werewolf, What Do You Meme, and Quacks & Co.

We have played Werewolf multiple times this week as it’s currently one of her fav. First time for kids Quacks, it’s great!

We do a weekly family movie night so I keep a running list of what to watch. My kids are 13 and 9, my 9yr old doesn’t like scary things

But to me it’s a yearly reminder to check my heart and brain. I might advocate for change but that doesn’t mean I’m getting it all right, but it’s a moment to pause and examine where I need to work on things.

What I also want it to be is a challenge to our bias. We all have them, but if we are not actively confronting them, we let them continue.
It’s taken a lot to work through the comments of that medical team, one we had trusted to help, yet only hurt.
I doubt they still think about that meeting

7yr ago I was told my Loft dress made me too put together so a medical team had a meeting and pondered if I was too put together to be motherly, maybe I was just a caregiver.

I just had to look up what Lagoon is, it looks interesting but we don’t own it.

These hexes are from the game Slide Blast. It was actually our “gateway game.” We played it with our kid and realized there were games we could all enjoy and went looking for more.

I was looking at a painting supply today that said it was good for ppl with latex allergies and then saw its synthetic latex and laughed… yeah my body doesn’t like that either… it very much thought our rug with synthetic latex was enemy #1
