Olena Kompaniiets (Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) is an astronomer researching isolated galaxies with active nuclei. Through the Science Kids project, she delivers events for children affected by the Ukraine war.

Dr Amy Bonsor (Institute of Astronomy, Cambridge) is an astronomer studying exoplanetary systems, their formation, evolution and potential habitability. She uses spectra of stellar remnants (white dwarfs) to probe the composition of exoplanet building blocks.

Our second Keynote speaker for BPSC 2026 is Dr Joseph McNeil (Natural History Museum, London).
Dr McNeil is a planetary scientist specialising in the geology of early Mars. He uses orbital remote sensing to investigate how martian environments and habitability evolved through time.

Our first Keynote speaker for BPSC 2026 is Dr Elishevah van Kooten (University of Copenhagen).
Dr van Kooten's works on astrobiology, the origins of life, and meteorites as records of early Solar System processes. She investigates the formation, alteration, and delivery of lifeβs building blocks.
