I was born in 2008. My grandfather died in 1991. I watched hours of VHS tapes to get to know him, but mostly found a disembodied voice.

This got me thinking about the person who always takes the group photos. They're erased from memories.

So I made a film about it.

Sort of loved A COMPLETE UNKNOWN. Dylan lore-related gripes aside, it's a competently constructed (if formulaic and overly dramatized) biopic. Timothée Chalamet is terrific as Bob Dylan, aided by an attention to detail suited to any longtime Dylan fan. Great sound design. Can't wait to see it again.
