Selfies in the bass booth. When it didn’t have the Leslie speaker in it, this was the bass booth. Tom did an amazing job of capturing the sound of my upright bass on the few tracks it featured on. Brand new Evahs on it too. Only sounded like that for a couple of weeks…

Just before the @divinecomedyhq.bsky.social sessions I got hold of a Wilcock Mullarkey. As soon as I heard Neil’s demos I knew it would be the perfect fit. Viv makes incredible instruments. If you’re hearing bass guitar on the new album, you’re listening to that bass.

Our crack team of engineers! Tom Bailey did the most amazing job of recording and mixing the album, assisted by the brilliant George Oulton & Tom Ashpitel at Abbey Road. They worked some serious magic👌

Our glorious string section at Abbey Road last year, conducted by the equally glorious Andrew Skeet. Tom Bailey at the helm in the control room making everything sparkle..

We spent a lot of time finding the perfect parts and sounds for the songs. We hired an old Vox Continental for a few songs and the Abbey Road Hammond saw some serious action too 🎹

Two legendary pianists playing two legendary Abbey Road pianos! The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter features both Ian Watson & Andrew Skeet on piano. Magic…

We were very lucky to have the London Voices come into the studio for a day to record some backing vocals with Andrew leading the session. The Man Who Turned Into a Chair really came to life that afternoon. They really were fantastic 👌

So the new @divinecomedyhq.bsky.social album is finally out in the wild folks! We spent 10 days at Abbey Road making the record almost a year ago now and as usual I took a stack of photos during the whole process. I’ll be sharing a few this week so stay tuned 📷
