We are writing to you in support of ASLEF members in relation to your vile victimisation of a trade union member who raised health and safety concerns with you. After 73 days of action, which have seen growing support for the unfairly victimised trade union member, we are urging you to reinstate the member affected and to end this dispute now. Trade union activity, including raising vital health and safety concerns, is fundamental to the role of effective trade unions in the workplace.The actions of Hull Trains management could damage safety culture across the rail industry. Today, on 29 August, we stand in solidarity and will be encouraging our members to join the solidarity rally. We will continue to use the full power and ‘weight’ of our movement to make sure Hull Trains is held to account for these actions. We urge you to reinstate the colleague affected and ensure an end to escalating levels of action and wider campaigning from our whole movement.

CAIWU Escalates Strike Action to Full Week in Response to Outsourcing Betrayal Cleaners at the Old Bailey, represented by the Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers Union (CAIWU), are escalating their fight against the City of London Corporation’s outsourcing plans by launching a full week of strike action from March 24th to March 28th. This marks a significant intensification of their protest, following an initial one-day strike on 7th March 2025 – supported by the RMT Union, PCS Union and General Federation of Trade Unions – as workers refuse to stand by while their rights and livelihoods are threatened.

More good news: all 6 of our members at London Museum have received an apology from DOC Cleaning Ltd for their mistreatment between 2017-2023.

They have also been awarded a total of £101,000 in compensation between them 💪🚩

London Museum cleaners win employment tribunal over unfair treatment - Arts Professional Cleaners at London Museum - formerly Museum of London - who claimed they were unfairly treated following the organisation's closure of its London Wall site have won an appeal against the outsourcing c...

We are absolutely delighted that our members won their appeal against discrimination by DOC cleaning at the London Museum. ✊

We hope this win will set a precedent for many more cleaners and outsourced workers in the sector.

The employees were transferred to bogus self-employment contracts — which represent the erosion of their rights.

Yet the payment is being withheld on claims that they didn’t adhere to their contracts.

Which is it — are our members their own bosses or are they managed by Gary?

Gary Jackson of Property Resolution Services, contracted to clean My Space Islington, is unlawfully withholding the wages of two of our members.

Instead of rectifying the matter, he has shifted the blame.

Gary — it’s time to pay up or face legal action.

After meeting with our members today, the STM Group have agreed to put all redundancies (including voluntary) on hold pending further negotiations.
