Yes, everyone should get to choose sfw vs. nsfw content, especially since a lot of sites include both content, are only 13+, and don't have an easy way of doing so! NSFW creators don't want children on their page, and children don't want to be shown nsfw content. I feel like it's an easy fix.
I did the same thing! I've also been researching alt options, but they're either hard to understand or steal your data as well.
Bluesky, for the love of god, PLEASE ADD A WAY TO MARK ACCOUNTS AS NSFW AND HAVE IT INCLUDED IN THE NSFW CONTENT BLOCK! I'm tired of searching up art and the only art I get recommend is nsfw, even when all of the illicit content filters are on 😭
i do feel like the people who are saying 'just move to another app' don't realize that this isn't a discord-specific issue. moving isn't going to work in the long term bc those sites will eventually also have to comply with the ever increasing amount of id-check laws springing up all over the place
