Probably one the most depressing things I've read about recently on this topic: cognitive debt. An observable decrease in brain activity and executive function following gen-AI use for a project task.
It's on them to make this up to their community, 100%. I think there's some pretty severe loss of trust over this for a lot of people, myself included.
Yeah, that's really hard to defend.
Digging into this, I really want to give Larian some grace. That said, Vincke saying that Gen-AI is "for tasks nobody wants to do" makes that hard.
The things we want to do the least are more than often the most important things as artists, because they're hard, which is how we grow the most.

With the presumption that what you're seeing is real, a glamor shot of what looks like a skeleton with enormous breasts and doll eyes is genuinely frightening.
