Are the straits open?

Because until they are he is going to have to bear responsibility, no matter how much he tries to dodge it.

I suspect the owners don’t employ people who they think would be that careless with their assets.

He likes going big and putting his name to things.
Let’s make all of this stick so that when it’s in a history book “Trump” and “grifting stupidity” are synonymous.

Good to know that’s the standard.
Ok to target Americans as long as you’re not very good at it.

But then, practise makes perfect.

Same old ‘weapons of mass destruction’ bullshit! USA is now the aggressor. And everyone thought North Korea was going to be the world’s biggest problem.

As a citizen of both countries who has lived in the US for decades at a time, I can say completely without fear of serious contradiction that the US doesn't think there's any kind of special relationship with the UK.

It's just where the pretty castles are and where you get the right villain accent.

Finally cancelled my Washington Post subscription after many years. Their front page article today praising Trump's "unique style" as a "wartime" President made it clear it's simply pro-GOP propoganda. Trust NOTHING from the Washington Post--not reporting, not opinions-not even the sports section!

New in PN: The bombing of Iranian children is an unforgivable crime

"American disinterest in the lives of people abroad is a resource politicians use to justify cynical wars. It's hard to see on what moral grounds we claim a right to decide the fate of those about whom we clearly care so little."

You'd assume Nigel Farage would be in Clacton, reassuring constituents he will do whatever he can to help them with cost of living; specifically on fuel prices.

Instead, he went to Mar-a-Lago to suck up to the American Administration.

He is a joke.

Put Trump’s criticism of Starmer and other democratic leaders against his consistent syrupy praise for authoritarian, brutal leaders.
Starmer is in good company. Just remind yourself how Trump praises authoritarian antidemocratic leaders in this thread. It’s an eye opener 🧵 1/

Putin gets:

High oil prices,
Loosening of sanctions,
An EU that's weaker politically and economically,
An Iranian client state that's even more dependent on him,
A US military rapidly depleting its smart munitions,
A global surge in anti-Americanism.

Quite a haul. Even Israel can't match it.

Trump's decision to bomb Iran is now the greatest windfall to the Russian war effort on record. If it continues, it might save the Russian war economy.

Really hope the horrible Glasgow fire scenes cause a national discussion about vape shops.

Every high street in the UK has been padded with retailers of unregulated, mass made devices with incredibly flammable batteries.
